Tea Is More Than a Beverage

Tea has its own language of leaves, origins, aromas, flavors, traditions, and rituals. Understanding the differences between tea types makes it easier to choose a cup that matches your moment.

Some teas are bright and refreshing. Some are rich and grounding. Some offer gentle caffeine, while others are naturally caffeine-free. Tea Types is your guide to exploring the differences.

What Makes Tea “Tea”?

Traditional tea comes from the Camellia sinensis plant. White, green, oolong, black, and pu-erh teas all originate from this plant, but processing methods create their distinctive characteristics.

Herbal infusions, meanwhile, are made from other botanicals such as flowers, leaves, roots, fruits, seeds, and spices.

One Plant. Many Personalities.

A visual journey through processing: fresh leaf → White → Green → Oolong → Black. Each step shapes aroma, color, body, and flavor with nuance and care.

Differences in processing, oxidation, rolling, drying, and roasting influence the final character. This is a respectful education, not a simplification.
